Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health is a nonprofit organization based in El Paso, Texas, that provides comprehensive health care and supportive services to elderly individuals, primarily through the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model. The program is designed to help frail seniors live independently in their homes and communities for as long as possible, rather than moving into nursing homes. PACE Model of Care Bienvivir operates under the PACE model, a nationally recognized Medicare and Medicaid program that offers integrated, person-centered care for older adults who meet certain criteria: Age 55 or older Certified by the state to need nursing home-level care Able to live safely in the community with PACE support at the time of enrollment Living in the service area 2. Comprehensive Services Participants receive a wide range of services coordinated by an interdisciplinary team, including: Medical care (primary, specialist, dental, vision, podiatry) Nursing services Physical, occupational, and speech therapies Social services and counseling Nutrition services and meals Home care and personal care Transportation to and from appointments Prescription drugs and medical equipment 3. Interdisciplinary Care Team (IDT) Each participant is supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes: Physicians Nurses Therapists Social workers Nutritionists Personal care attendants This team collaborates closely to develop and implement individualized care plans. 4. Adult Day Health Centers Bienvivir operates several adult day health centers where participants can receive medical care, socialize, have meals, participate in activities, and undergo rehabilitation. These centers help address both the medical and social needs of seniors. 5. Cost Structure For those eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, services are typically provided at no cost. Private pay options may also be available for those not covered by Medicaid.
