FirstLight Home Care provides a comprehensive range of non-medical in-home care services, and some locations may offer limited skilled nursing: Personal Care: Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility (walking, transferring), and toileting/incontinence care. Assistance with feeding. Companion Care: Providing social interaction, conversation, and emotional support. Engaging in hobbies, games, and recreational activities. Accompanying clients to appointments, social engagements, or errands. Medication reminders. Light housekeeping and laundry. Dementia & Alzheimer's Care: Specialized training for caregivers to support individuals with memory impairments. Focus on safety, routine, cognitive stimulation, and managing challenging behaviors. Aims to help clients thrive and reduce anxiety and confusion. Respite Care: Providing temporary relief for primary family caregivers, allowing them to rest, recharge, or attend to other responsibilities, while ensuring their loved one continues to receive quality care. Specialty Care Services: Disability Care: Support for adults with various physical or intellectual disabilities. Veteran Care: Services tailored to support the unique needs of veterans. Hospice Care Support: Complementary non-medical support alongside medical hospice services. Rehabilitation & Recovery Care: Assistance during recovery from surgery, illness, or injury, including help with exercises, medication reminders, and general caretaking. Travel Companion Services: A unique offering where caregivers can accompany clients on trips or vacations to provide assistance and companionship away from home. Skilled Nursing (at select locations): Some FirstLight offices may offer basic skilled nursing services provided by licensed nurses or under their supervision, such as wound care, vital sign checks, and medication administration (e.g., injections). 24/7 Care & Live-In Care: For clients requiring continuous supervision and assistance around the clock.
