About Us: Mill Pond Manor provides affordable housing for seniors aged 62 or older, or mobility-impaired persons. It's a smoke-free community with rent based on approximately 30% of the resident's income, with the remainder subsidized. It overlooks a scenic mill pond with woods and gardens. They aim to provide a safe, secure, and affordable independent living environment. Apartment Features: One-bedroom apartments (540 sq ft), with some accessible units (620 sq ft). Include safety rails in the bathroom, full kitchen, fire & smoke detectors, emergency call system, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, and carpeting. Community Amenities: On-site laundry room, individual indoor mailboxes, controlled entry access system, elevator, lounge and community room with kitchen, ample parking, on-site management and maintenance staff. Monthly activities include bingo, card games, pot-luck meals, seasonal activities (e.g., gardening), and knitting/sewing for their Project H.A.N.D.S. program. There's also a puzzle and craft room. Meals-On-Wheels is available for Saline residents through the Saline Area Senior Center, which also provides regular transportation for shopping trips. Small dogs (under 25 lbs) and cats (under 15 lbs) are allowed with a deposit.
