Dr. Joseph Ramos earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1990 and his B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1982. He served as a U.S. Air Force Line Officer (1982–1990) and Judge Advocate (1991–2011) before being admitted to the Nebraska (1991) and Colorado (2011) Bar.
